Ib is a Montreal native who grew up in Ottawa and played both basketball and football for the University of Ottawa. Ib was a standout athlete receiving multiple awards as a Gee Gee, including the 1995 OUAA Basketball Rookie of the Year award and a 1st Team Football All-Canadian in 1999. After graduating, Ib was drafted fifth overall in the first round of the Canadian Football League (CFL) by the Calgary Stampeders. He enjoyed a successful 7 year career in the CFL, including winning a Grey Cup in 2001.

You can easily see Ib’s passion for coaching during practice, training session, or competition. He first got involved with coaching during his university career as a basketball camp counsellor and has always enjoyed helping young players looking to improve and learn more about the game. Ib has gained a lot of experience over the years, and he’s eager to share his knowledge and lessons learned.

Ib has logged countless hours of volunteer work as a motivational speaker for various organizations, schools, and outreach programs. His players learn how to compete with confidence, intensity, and challenge themselves everyday in order to become the best version of themselves on and off the court.

“I always strive to create a positive environment for young athletes that will promote physical, mental, and social development”.
